It is important to let people know about the prejudices going on in our society today so we can try and change things. A lot of prejudice comes from lack of awareness… LMHR brings these issues to our attention… there’s a lot of racism happening everyday in our society and if we can bring attention to this then we can move closer to stopping the threat of racist attacks.

New London club night “Rock Against Racism: We Want Rebel Music”

The new Rock Against Racism Club is a celebration of rebel music throughout the ages, socially aware music that has something to say, music that broke the mould, be it punk, grime, reggae, soul, indie, hip-hop, ska or rock & roll. As well as RAR and LMHR DJs brining you the best in "rebel music", expect live music from the best in up and coming urban and indie talent supporting the Love Music Hate Racism cause.

Teaching Union’s Anti-Racism Campaign

Love Music Hate Racism is proud to announce cooperation with the teaching trade union, the NASUWT. LMHR and LMHR-supporting artists are backing a NASUWT competition for schools called "Arts & Minds" which encourages students and their schools to use creative writing and art to express their feelings about what racial equality and cultural diversity mean to today's society.

We want rebel music!

The same way punk pioneers like The Clash and The Slits fused reggae with their music in the early 80’s, the rock acts of today are now experimenting with this new sound called Grime. “Rock against racism: We want rebel music” kicks off in early January. The club night will not only be a showcase for exciting new Rock & Grime acts, but a celebration of people of all colours coming together through music.
