Racism seeks only to divide and weaken us.

R*E*P*E*A*T 10th birthday party

  • When: Tuesday, April 25th, 2006
  • Cambridge Junction
  • £5

In its 12 years, R*E*P*E*A*T has sold something like 5,000 fanzines, 12,000 releases and 20,000 badges, they have put on more than 700 bands at some 200 gigs to around 10,000 punters raising more than £1,000 for anti racist organisations, they've made 120 messy collages using up 29 gallons of glue and taken 100s of quality photographs. Come and celebrate the past 10/ 12 years, and toast the future…

The Pedestrians

The pulse of this band beats from the gems that have come from wonderful eras in music – for example Motown and Northern Soul. The 1970s led by example, when Northern Soul took off and all-nighters saw people of all cultures dance the night away until their soles wore thin. Thats what its about for us! F*** the barriers, lets dance over them!

Belle & Sebastian

At a time when the racist BNP looks likely to make gains in council elections in England, and mainstream politicians and sections of the media play into their hands with scare-stories about immigrants, it is important for anyone with a voice to send out a clear message that any form of racial discrimination is completely unacceptable. For this reason Belle & Sebastian are delighted to be taking part in the LMHR day at Trafalgar Square.

Mecca2Medina

Ignorance and misunderstandings in society give the BNP a platform, but we have to big up and nuff respect to LMHR for taking a proactive role in fighting against this evil by peaceful means. Music is the best communicator for the youths of today, for real!

Chris T-T

Even when they're trying to pretend they're not racist thugs, you'd hate to have BNP people in charge: uptight puffy-faced morons with barely a sex life between the lot of them. If you think Blair's damaging your civil liberties, try gigging, clubbing, meeting your friends for coffee, getting a decent haircut, shopping or just walking the streets after dark if the fascists run your town. For f***nuts to triumph, all the good people have to do is stay at home and not bother. Please go vote in the council elections on Thursday 4th May. The BNP have put out thousands of leaflets packed full of lies about immigrants, trying to scare decent people into voting for them. Don't let them win, just because you've got a hangover and want to watch Phillip and Fern.

Mylo

The BNP are nasty ignorant thugs. Please don't vote for them. I hate a lot of what the Blair government has done but they are light years better than these fascists.
