LOVE MUSIC HATE RACISM IN STOKE LATE JULY

The BNP now have 5 councillors in Stoke; The fightback starts here - 3 of the city's biggest promoters have come together in the city's biggest venue which will have a huge LMHR/UAF banner on its city-centre outside wall for weeks before the event. 3-rooms (rock & indie / urban & r&b / drum n bass) featuring Ginger (The Wildhearts), Kray Twinz, Andy Rourke (The Smiths - DJ set), Pendulum and other top acts will line up with local anti-fascist campaigners and sports stars to send out the message that the fascist BNP are not welcome in Stoke. The event is supported by NORSCARF and the Fire Brigades Union Region No.7

LMHR BARKING & DAGENHAM SCHOOLS LAUNCH BIG SUCCESS

Two secondary schools in the London borough of Barking & Dagenham today hosted events launching a borough-wide initiative by the Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR)campaign, featuring Ms Dynamite and Fade2. The two schools celebrated the diversity of their students and of the multicultural society they live in. Throughout both events many students showed their interest in the campaign and signed up to get involved in the local branch, took away leaflets and purchased badges and t shirts. LMHR aims to work on similar events with all schools across the borough, along with staging a series of gigs in the area with high-profile artists performing for the cause.

MS DYNAMITE IN LMHR VISITS TO BARKING & DAGENHAM SCHOOLS

On Friday 14th July, Ms Dynamite will be addressing the whole school assembly at a secondary school in Barking & Dagenham on the need to combat racism and fascism inside and outside our schools. There will also be LMHR and Unite Against Fascism guest speakers and a screening of the short version of LMHR film Who Shot the Sheriff, followed by a Q&A with the Mercury-winning rapper/singer. The same morning, there will also be a similar event featuring Liverpool r&b group Fade 2, taking place at another school in the area. These will be the first of a whole series of LMHR events in schools across the borough.

Big Weekend for anti-racist music in London and Southend
