The Dulwich Co-operative YouthBank are doing a community family-based event in Lambeth on March 30th. This will be the launch our organisation which is entirely young volunteers (16-26s) who run a social education programme for youth groups, as well as fundraise for the local area and disperse money to positive projects of other young people, in easily-accessible grants. The LMHR national university tour, supported by Amicus and UAF, has got off to a flying start. Around 2,000 people have already attended events at Essex, East London, Swansea and Nottingham Uni's. Each event - using speakers, debates and leaflets - has succeeded in creating or growing anti-fascist organisation both on campus and in the local areas, with UAF and LMHR societies being set up or strengthened - standing anti-BNP campaigns in good stead for the local council and Welsh Assembly elections on May 3rd. Amicus have also been keenly promoting trade union values of unity and solidarity and the benefits of membership to students coming to the events. A big thanks to all the musicians and student unions who've contributed so far. Watch the Gigs & Events pages for info on future dates.

I feel right now that LMHR is running the streets in bringing awarenes to racism in the UK. It's a serious issue and effects people of all races in different forms. LMHR brings everyone together to highlight this - and the parties are off the hook with live stage shows from the UK'spremier underground artists and djs. Thats the best form of exposure i can think off. LMHR has my full support.

"A main factor in the rise of racism is lethergy. There are many people who say they're against racism but they don't do anything to help spread awareness. If we all pull together we can beat this disease down. What LMHR are doing in educating and bringing awareness on racism issues through music and other activities is something we are very much behind as a band."

Anti-fascists will be staging a protest outside the Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent this Saturday, 3rd March, at 1.30pm, before the matinee performance of the English National Ballet's "The Canterville Ghost" against Simone Clarke, principal dancer with the English National Ballet, who has publicly declared her membership of the British National Party (BNP). The protest has been called by the Stoke branch of the national Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR) campaign, and is also supported by local anti-fascist campaign Norscarf.
