SIX TOWNS ONE CITY CARNIVAL - STOKE

The Stoke Unity Project is hosting a special carnival to celebrate the City's diversity. An eclectic mix of artists and groups will join together in defence of Stoke's multi-culturalism in the wake of the BNP's presence there. There will be a number of activities taking place throughout the day for all ages.

Over three days, this year's "Never mind the bullocks" fest will incorparate the best of both national and local acts, in a great festival raising money for the campaign. The three shows will take place on the 6th, 8th and 10th of August with a special FREE bonus show also planned on Saturday 9th. The exciting line up features; The Ghost of a Thousand, Mike Scott, Commix, XX Teens and Kid Carpet. Just a few of the many great artists playing this year.

40 YEARS ON & NO RIVERS OF BLOOD - WHY ENOCH WAS WRONG: LMHR PRESS CONFERENCE

Members of UB40 and other local bands will hold a Birmingham press conference for Love Music Hate Racism on Friday April 21st to say that Enoch Powell was wrong, there have been no rivers of blood – let's celebrate multi-racial Britain. 40 years ago, on 20 April 1968, Conservative cabinet member, Enoch Powell, called for a halt to immigration, and an end to anti-race discrimination legislation. He predicted "Rivers of Blood" on the streets of Britain if immigration continued, and if the dependents of migrants living in Britain were allowed to join them here. His speech unleashed a massive wave of racism directed at Ugandan Asians fleeing Idi Amin, and at all non-white immigrants then living in Britain.

UAF PROTEST AGAINST BNP CONFERENCE IN BLACKPOOL

The BNP has announced it is to hold a conference on 17th/18th November in Blackpool at the New Kimberley Hotel. Local people including members of the council, hotels, trade unions, students , residents and anti-fascist have condemned the BNP for holding it’s conference in Blackpool for the second time. We must show our opposition to the fascist BNP and it’s politics of race hate and division. We must show that there is united opposition to the BNP and ensure that Blackpool is a fascist-free zone.


UAF DEMONSTRATION: HITLER LOVER DAVID IRVING NOT WELCOME IN COVENTRY

On the night of 14th November 1940 over 500 German bombers launched an assault on the city of Coventry that would leave nearly 600 dead and 900 injured. Mass burials took place on 2 occasions, and many of the dead lie in London Road Cemetery. Yet Hitler lover and holocaust denier, David Irving, has chosen the anniversary of that dreadful night to visit Coventry and celebrate his disgusting Nazi theories. Coventry Unite against Fascism are asking all out supporters to help us to maximise opposition and to support a demonstration that will take place at 6pm, Cathedral Steps, on Wednesday 14th November. Please show your support by demonstrating that Coventry will not tolerate the Nazi, racist ideas promoted by David Irving.

Protest in Birmingham against Holocaust denier, David Irving, on Friday 26th October Assemble 6pm at the ICC, Broad St, Central Birmingham. Birmingham UAF are organising a protest outside a meeting at which David Irving is due to speak. It is understood that the meeting will be held in a hotel in Broad St on Friday night. LMHR supporters are urged to join the protest.


NEVER MIND THE BULLOCKS - LMHR BENEFIT IN HEREFORD

Fri-Sun 10-12 August 2007 The Herdsman, 54 Widemarsh Street HEREFORD HR4 9HG. The first LMHR gig in Herefordshire takes place the 2nd weekend in August. Local music fans and bands, alarmed at the presence of two BNP candidates in recent local elections as well as the BNP's South African "webmaster" in the city, have put together a fantastic bill of talent aimed at both entertaining as well as rallying local people to the anti-fascist cause.

Wyeside Music Festival is a great community event suitable for the whole family and it doesn’t matter how young or old your are there is plenty to do. It’s going to be bigger and better than ever with two live stages and a DJ arena. The main outdoor stage will feature some of Hereford’s top bands with a second stage in the beer tent playing host to even more great music. LMHR will be there to screen our DVD "Who Shot the Sheriff?" along with a discussion on racism and fascism and an LMHR info/merch stall.


Talent 2007 in Birmingham

Hosted by MTV's funny man Kat it is sure to be a laugh a minute. Judges include 3style from Galaxy fm, Camelle Foster from Channel Fours Chancers(danced with Omarion, sang with Solange Knowles) and Rachel Ritfield. Talent 2007 supports LMHR who will have a stall at the event.
