RISE AGAINST RACISM AT THE DAGENHAM TOWN SHOW

Barking & Dagenham LMHR along with UAF will have a major stall at this year's Dagenham Town Show, in the borough where the fascist BNP have 12 local councillors. This year's Show features a music stage organised by the London mayor's Rise anti-racism festival. LMHR & UAF volunteers will be signing up local people to get involved in our campaigns. PEACEFUL PROTEST AGAINST BNP RALLY IN BARKING & DAGENHAM THIS SATURDAY

Assemble 1pm, Saturday 9th December. Civic Centre, Dagenham, RM10 7BN (Off Wood Lane; District Line Tube Stations: Dagenham East/Dagenham Heathway) LMHR is asking all our supporters in and around London and Essex to attend this major counter-protest against the fascist BNP in Barking andDagenham. The BNP are attempting to stage an open public rally in London for the first time in 20 years. The BNP's increased presence in the borough where they have 11 local councillors has seen racist attacks rise by more than 60% year-on-year. Unite Against Fascism are calling on people to book transport to the event and for local public sector workers to protest in uniform, union and other banners and for you to bring delegations of people from where you work, live or study. We need the maximum possible turnout in unity against the racist lies of the BNP.     MS DYNAMITE IN LMHR VISITS TO BARKING & DAGENHAM SCHOOLS

    On Friday 14th July, Ms Dynamite will be addressing the whole school assembly at a secondary school in Barking & Dagenham on the need to combat racism and fascism inside and outside our schools. There will also be LMHR and Unite Against Fascism guest speakers and a screening of the short version of LMHR film Who Shot the Sheriff, followed by a Q&A with the Mercury-winning rapper/singer. The same morning, there will also be a similar event featuring Liverpool r&b group Fade 2, taking place at another school in the area. These will be the first of a whole series of LMHR events in schools across the borough.
