Linda Smith was a great comedian but was also a committed and passionate anti-racist and anti-fascist. All at LMHR were saddened to hear of her recent death. Linda's partner Warren was at the Hackney Empire RAR show in July and we are delighted to be able to help promote a cancer-awareness show that he is organising in Linda's memory. Barking & Dagenham LMHR along with UAF will have a major stall at this year's Dagenham Town Show, in the borough where the fascist BNP have 12 local councillors. This year's Show features a music stage organised by the London mayor's Rise anti-racism festival. LMHR & UAF volunteers will be signing up local people to get involved in our campaigns. Hosted by MTV's funny man Kat it is sure to be a laugh a minute. Judges include 3style from Galaxy fm, Camelle Foster from Channel Fours Chancers(danced with Omarion, sang with Solange Knowles) and Rachel Ritfield. Talent 2007 supports LMHR who will have a stall at the event.
