UKHH.COM ? THE FIRST STOP FOR UK HIPHOP - CELEBRATE XMAS, 5 YEARS OF EXISTENCE AND THE HARD WORK OF CAMPAIGNERS AT LOVE MUSIC, HATE RACISM

FREE ENTRY - BUT DONATIONS TO LMHR WILL BE VERY WELCOME (LMHR VOLUNTEERS WILL BE THERE ON THE NIGHT WITH INFO, BADGES, T-SHIRTS ETC!)

ukhh.com is the premier UK hip hop website around, featuring numerous reviews, interviews, and streamed videos. And it?s not just British acts that appear on the site, as it looks to transcend international boundaries to bring you the best content possible. The content itself is provided by a dedicated team of volunteers who have an immense love of hip hop. Just over five years old, the website has been going from strength to strength, and aims to get bigger and better over the coming months and years. It is with this in mind that the first official Festivus has been planned.

The night will take place at Catch, which is situated at 22 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8DA. An intimate venue that is sizeable enough to comfortably accommodate a largish crowd, it is also located close to great transport links. Numerous buses stop just outside the venue, and it is only a few minutes walk away from Old Street tube station.

The night itself will start at 8pm and will run until midnight, and with free entry, there really is no excuse to miss what promises to be one of the best nights for the true hip hop head.

On the night, we will be treated to some absolutely quality DJing from 4 of the best around:

Mr Lingo (Grassy Roots, the Intrepid) having toured Italy and been a resident at One Step Beyond, amongst others, will be bringing you the funk from his trunk.

563 has a knowledge, and collection, of hip hop that goes beyond the fanatic, which is proven weekly on his Itch FM slot as well as on his recent ?What?s Real?? mix.

DJ Excalibah, desribed by Semtex as ?the UK?s finest hiphop DJ?, is best known for his weekly ?Tales from the Legend? show on BBC 1Xtra.

Also appearing, DJ/producer extraordinaire Blufoot, who has just been signed to Scenario records for the imminent release of his ?Ablution? album.

On top of the amazing DJs set to play, and the fact that it will cost you absolutely nothing to get into, there is also a good cause involved. Any money made on this night (and possible future Festivus events) will be donated to the Love Music Hate Racism campaign.
