LAUNCH OF LIVERPOOL LMHR
- When: Saturday, November 26th, 2005
- Liverpool
7.00pm, Saturday 26 November, at the Tea Factory, 79-82 Wood Street L1.
Launch meeting of Liverpool Love Music Hate Racism
Many many local people, groups and artists got involved in the magnificent
Tribute to Anthony Walker at the Liverpool Academy three weeks ago.

)
Alongside out-of-town stars like Ms Dynamite and Roll Deep were Liverpool
stars The Stands, Young Kof, DJ Shinobi, One Heart One Voice, Gee Walker
choir and Shockout dance school.
The gig really showed multicultural Liverpool at its best - a fantastically
mixed and very young crowd cheered every anti-racist speech to the rafters,
and the one minute’s silence for Anthony was impeccably observed.
We want to make sure that music plays a part - long-term - in bringing
people together, breaking down division, and fighting racism in Liverpool so
that we need never again mourn for a young black person killed for the
colour of their skin.
We call on every music lover and anti-racist, every performer, every
promoter, everybody who can play any kind of part, to get involved in
setting up Liverpool Love Music Hate Racism.
Liverpool LMHR will organise local gigs and club nights, big and small,
including all types of music, as well as regularly promoting LMHR at other
gigs across the city, working to unify and inspire people to also get
actively involved in anti-racist and anti-fascist campaigns where they live,
work or study.
Liverpool LMHR will be open to all, regardless of age, experience or
anything else. All we ask is that you Love Music and Hate Racism and want
to do your bit.
We hope you can come along to our launch meeting at 7.00pm, on Saturday 26 November, at the Tea Factory, 79-82 Wood Street L1.
