Rock Against Racism Unite Against Facism

LMHR Exeter - 3 Fat Fish

  • When: Sunday, October 1st, 2006
  • 3 Fat Fish, Exeter

The Selectiv, Zetan Spore, Obedientbone, Trimorphous and more, plus DJs - Plus speakers from local equality and anti fascist groups.

Concentrating on south-west talent for this all-day event, LMHRExeter bring us such acts as Zetan Spore, a must-see live outfit from West Cornwall whose psychedelic trance with didgeridoo-fuelled tribal breaks met an incredible reception at Singapores Euphoria 04 festival. Zetan Spore have supported such classic acts as Eat Static and Here and Now for Future Sound of Exeter and have headlined at Antiworld and Torquays erstwhile Monastery.

If your legs have not turned to jelly after stomping through Zetan Spores high-energy set LMHRExeter will treat you to Exeter’s own Trimorphous. Having wooed the Phoenix audience in May supporting The Egg, they’ve been receiving rave reviews from 24/7 and Kuhl Music, and can list Senser and Orbital amongst their list of high-profile support slots. Trimorphous merge genres for the musical taste-buds of an eclectic and discerning audience. Expect to be blown away.

Just because they want to spoil you profusely, LMHRExeter continue this hedonistic ensemble of acts with a set from The Selectiv. If you haven’t caught this breakbeat guitar band at any of their gigs this summer, then this is the night to do it. Come watch these accomplished musicians fuse together a breathtaking selection of up-tempo, breakbeat-driven floor-stompers, that mix programmed beats with lush string arrangements, spacey guitars, driving bass grooves and powerful female vocals.

As though that wasnt enough aural pleasure for the weekend, Love Music Hate Racism Exeter brings you Obedientbone to finish you off! Now pull yourself together, we know its all a bit much to take in, but yes, LMHRExeter are here only to give you phonic delights, so they were beside themselves with joy when Obedientbone agreed to play. Radio one’s Edith Bowman has called them “the best band youve never heard of” but before long this high praise will be obsolete, as Obedientbone are fast collecting a massive national audience. Get there while theyre hot, because Obedientbone are rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the hottest underground acts on the circuit; tearing up clubs, festivals & venues across the country.
