Last year, The Beat played at this venue in a gig that seriously helped dent the fascist BNP’s local election challenge. With the fascists set to stand more candidates in Wakefield this year, this is a vital event to alert local people to the danger of the BNP and to rally anti-racists to join in with Unite Against Fascism’s “Use Your Vote” ant-BNP local election campaign.
