In the wake of the 100,000 strong LMHR carnival, we will be hosting a round table discussion of activists and musicians to discuss the role of music in the movement against racism and fascism at this annual event, the talk will include contributions from; Jon McClure, Lowkey, Roger Huddle, Paul Holborow & others. The discussion will be followed by an exciting gig featuring a number of fantastic artists including;
Mecca 2 Medina - back by popular demand, Muslim hip-hop crew
Decypher Collective - astonishing ‘grime theatre’ group from Birmingham
Sean Taylor - searingly political London singer-songwriter
DJ Rugrat - an eclectic mix of r&b, bhangra, dubstep, grime, hip-hop and garage mixed with panache by hit LMHR Carnival & demo DJ
Taking place at Institute of Education, University of London, WC1 from 7pm onwards.
