UAF/LMHR DAY OF ACTION AGAINST THE FASCIST BNP IN HERNE BAY

  • When: Sunday, October 5th, 2008
  • Outside Hampton Primary School, Fitzgerald Ave. Herne Bay, CT6 8NB.

On Thursday 9th October, Kent County Council will hold a by-election in Herne Bay, East Kent. This will be the first time a fascist candidate has stood in the town. Dennis Whiting is a known racist, who some time ago offered a local reporter of oriental origin £5000 to “go home”, even though she was born and grew up in this country. He was also a founder member of the Nazi - National front in the 1960s.

It is vitally important that we oppose and demonstrate against Racism and Fascism wherever it goes. That is why the local Love Music Hate Racism and Unite Against Fascism groups have called for a day of action against the BNP in Herne Bay. There will be a mass leafleting of houses and businesses in the town on Sunday 5th October.

The group will be meeting with a large amount of local political activists, councillors and residents at 1pm outside Hampton Primary School, Fitzgerald Ave. Herne Bay, CT6 8NB.

If you live in Herne Bay or one of the surrounding cities and towns please come and show your support with help leafleting for a short amount of time. It is important we stamp out racism and fascism as soon as it enters a new area, this is an excellent chance to do just that!
