London BNP member arms cache exposed
Last week’s conviction of BNP member Ellis Hammond for possessing illegal weapons has received little media coverage despite a large haul being recovered. This is even more bizarre given the conviction last year of a BNP former election candidate for possessing explosives.
When police raided Hammond’s home, they discovered an arsenal of illegal weapons including a CS spray, eight combat knives, a replica AK-47 and a stun gun, as well as a vast collection of racist literature. Some reports claim a crossbow was also recovered.
When not busy collecting racist literature and weapons, Hammond was employed by the Met as “Police Community Support Officer”. Even worse he worked in Coldharbour and New Eltham, near to where Stephen Lawrence was murdered.
Hammond was caught after ordering an illegal stun-gun … through the post! Vigilant post office workers spotted the weapon last December and tipped off police.
One of the few national papers to pick the story up was The Sunday Times, and you can read more on timesonline.co.uk.
