INACURATE REPORT OF “THE SPECIALS” APPEARING AT LMHR CARNIVAL ‘08
An article yesterday in the London paper, which said that The Specials would be playing at the carnival, and another in the Independent ,which stated that Specials’ mainman Jerry Dammers would be forming a band with Sham 69 singer Jimmy Pursey, are both untrue. These reports did not come from us, the confusion somehow
arose because Jerry Dammers has agreed to deejay at the event. We apologise for any disappointment.
It should be pointed out that The Specials have not existed as a band for 25 years and have not reformed at this point in time.
