In the last 12 months racist violence has been on the rise at an alarming rate in the North. With a recent report from the NI Council for Ethnic Minorities branding it the ‘Race Hate Capital of Europe’.
Sadly in recent months members of Derry’s migrant population have experienced racism, but there has always been a strong reaction from the local community against these mindless attacks.
Love Music Hate Racism has played an important role in this fight against hate crime by putting on a series of hugely successful gigs over the last few years. They are now proud to be teaming up with this year’s Feile to bring you music from Irish bands who want to use its positive energy to combat race hate.
