Anti fascist rally outside Leeds Crown Court moved to Wednesday 1st November

We have been informed by West Yorkshire police that the retrial of the two BNP leaders on race hate charges has been moved to Wednesday 1st November:

It is important that we have a large united presence at this peaceful anti-fascist rally outside Leeds Crown Court on that morning

Assemble from 9am outside Leeds Crown Court, Oxford Row, near the Town Hall
At 10.30am join the public signing of the unity against racism and fascism statement by trade unionists, faith and community leaders.

July saw the start of Unite Against Fascism’s campaign to prevent any more BNP candidates being elected in Leeds. We have already had two successful weekend events to publicise the campaign and have had a good response from the public both in the town centre and on the doorstep.

Despite the BNP winning the Morley South council seat in the recent local elections the overwhelming majority of Morley voters rejected the BNP in 2006.In the May local election the percentage of the total electoral vote won by the BNP was as follows: Morley North 8.52% and in Morley South 12.85%
